SCIENCE NEWS AND UPDATES

The BHS Robotics Team - Beavertronics Team 5970 - was founded in 2014-2015 and is beginning their 4th year of competition this year!  The upcoming season's theme intro video is shown above - each year the challenge is different, and isn't released until early January.  We are a year-round program; we participate in quite a few off-season events in the fall.  If interested, we're always happy to welcome new members! You will learn about collaboration and teamwork in a technical challenge, engineering design skills, digital design, woodworking and metalworking skills, marketing and outreach, and programming.

The day to day struggles and events in life often mask the inspiration provided by the universe - this clip is one to which I often return to reignite that inspiration. Neil deGrasse Tyson answers the question "What is the most astounding fact about the universe?"  My favorite quote from his response: "So that when I look up at the night sky, and I know that yes, we are part of this universe, we are in this universe, but perhaps more important than both of those facts is that the Universe is in us."
